Do you keep something that doesn't last?

Say for an example a movie ticket. You love to keep them. It could be a habit, a simple collection or to remember a fond memory. But, you know eventually that the text fades and it will be like a blank piece of paper.

Does that make you stop collecting and keeping movie tickets? Or do you continue doing so and just throw them away only when they fade...???
